How to setup linxtter email service on iOS devices

Linxtter is an email service with robust and adaptable features, providing a wide array of options to enhance your email management. It can be configured on desktop, iOS, and Android devices through the Linxtter email web browser, enabling you to access your emails from anywhere, at any time. Below are instructions for setting up Linxtter email on desktop, iOS devices:

  1. Access our webmail service by entering this URL in your browser: https://webmail.linxtter.com
  2. On the webmail homepage, click on Configure Mail Client
  3. You will be presented with a screen containing all the necessary information to complete your setup.

Automatic Setup Using Mail Client Automatic Configuration Scripts

In the Mail Client Automatic Configuration Scripts section of the page, you will find a list of available scripts that need to be downloaded and executed on your devices to automatically configure your email service. 

  1. Locate your device in the list and click the link to download and execute the script on your local device (IMAP over SSL/TLS is highly recommended). 
  2. If your current device is not listed, you can proceed with the manual setup below. 

    NOTE: Before proceeding with IMAP over SSL/TLS, ensure that your SSL certificate is active on your currently registered email service or contact us for further technical support.

Mail Client Manual Settings

In the Mail Client Manual Settings section of the page, you will find the information required by all device manufacturers to set up Linxtter email services on any device. The details needed are as follows:

Username: me@example.com [Use your current email]

Password: Use the email account’s password.

Incoming Server: mail.example.com, [ Replace example.com with your domain ]
use IMAP Port: 993  ( Recommended )  or POP3 Port: 995

Outgoing Server: mail.example.com, [ Replace example.com with your domain ]
 SMTP Port: 465

NOTE: IMAP, POP3, and SMTP require authentication.


Set up your mobile device iOS

STEP 1 : Tap Settings. Generally, the Settings icon appears in one of your device’s main screens. The Settings menu will appear.


STEP 2 : Tap Mail in the Settings menu. The Mail menu will appear.



STEP 3 : Tap Accounts in the Mail menu. The Accounts menu will appear.



STEP 4 : Tap Add Account in the Accounts menu. The Add Account menu will appear.


STEP 5 : Tap Other in the Add Account menu. The Other menu will appear.


STEP 6 : Tap Add Mail Account in the Other menu. The New Account interface will appear.


STEP 7 : Enter your account information and tap Next. Enter the following information in the New Account interface’s text boxes:

  1. In the Name text box, enter the name that you wish to use for the email account. 
  2. In the Email text box, enter your email address. 
  3. In the Password text box, enter the password for the email account. 
  4. In the Description text box, enter a description for the email account. 
  5. Tap Next to proceed to the next screen in the New Account interface.


STEP 8 : Use the toggle at the top of the screen to select a mailbox type. Verify all of the information for your account.

​Note: We recommend that you select the IMAP mailbox type. If you select the POP3 mailbox type, the mobile device’s mail client will download all of the account’s email messages, and then remove the messages from the server. You will not be able to access those messages from any other mail client.


STEP 9 : Enter the following information in Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server text boxes:

Use details you collected from Mail Client Manual Settings section to fill up the required information below

  1. In the Host Name text box, enter the domain for the email account. 
  2. In the User Name text box , enter your email address. 
  3. In the Password text box , enter the password for the email account. 
  4. Tap Next to proceed to the next screen in the New Account interface.

STEP 10 : Tap the Notes toggle to disable the Notes application for the account.

STEP 11 : Tap Save to complete the account setup process.
